"Was ok for 2 night stay.
Caravan was clean, but had faulty bits like ripped seats, brokenbedside table,no blind cord, mouldy blind and a stained duvet and bedside stool.
There was no shop only bike hire. There was no games room/amusements as it was empty so nothing for older children to do.
When we wanted to do Crazy gold reception was shut (Without warning) so couldn't get the clubs-kids very upset.
Club house does good food (Expensive) but only burger/nuggets/fish and chips or lasagne or a baguette. If vegetarian only cheese baguette available. Only ice cream for pudding so hardly varied!
Alsi it doesn't serve food till 7pm-so hopeless if you have young children.
Nice play area for kids under about 12. Slides/swings/climbing frame etc.
Very busy road to cross to get to Tarka trail-not fun.
Very noisy with the traffic-it woke me up both nights. Not a tranquil site as they describe it!!!
Overall adequate for a base for the tarka trail for adults-If you havew children I wouldn't bother." |

"We are returning customers to this site, had a great time so thought we would come back. 2 adults and 2 children 11yrs and 12yrs. On arrival, there was no checkin, i signed nothing and was not given a lot of information except that they were under new management and hoped we noticed the difference and that the bar opened at 6pm. We booked budget accomodation,so were expecting no frills. The carpet in the living area was very stained as well as the seating area which was also ripped. The rest of the caravan was clean, but very basic. On our seccond evening we went to the bar at 6.20pm, but was then told it opened at 7pm, so went elsewhere. On the third evening we went to the bar at 7.10pm and it eventualy opened at 7.25pm!!The meal we had was disapppointing, the home made lasagne was not homemade and my son's burger was of very poor quality with a bun that seemed as if it was over defrosted in the microwave. The peas were inedible.I complained nicely but had no sorry - just told that i should not have booked budget accommodation and got the impression if I was not happy I should go elsewere. We will not be coming back to this site despite it's convenient location." |
